I need your input!

The one-month anniversary for this blog is coming up next week, and I would like to tweak/overhaul my site's design for the celebration. So, dear readers, please help me improve by leaving comments as to what you like and dislike about the blog.

If you're at a loss for words to say, here are some suggestions:
1. How's the navigation? What do you like? What can be improved?
2. Suggestions for color schemes? I purposely avoided green in the beginning, but now I'm a bit tired of pink.
3. What other content should I include? And, are links, ads, blogrolls, etc. worthwhile? Or are some of them annoying?
4. Is the width OK? Can I make it wider? Should I make it narrower? What about the column widths?
5. Are the fonts easy to read? Or maybe I need to spice up my fonts?
6. Anything else that strikes your fancy! :-)

The colors and banner are sharp, understated and professional looking. Although I have yet to add categories to my posts, I think it's a good idea. After the number of posts goes way up, it will be near impossible to find what you are looking for without it.

Ads are your call. They are free to you, and you can make them pretty small if you don't want them to be intrusive. Don't expect much income unless you start getting some heavy traffic.

I just made mine wider, the narrow main column was driving me crazy. As you can tell here, I can get kind of wordy. That would lead to overly lengthy once column posts. Actually, stop by my blog when you can and let me know what you think of the new format.

Also, more mentions of my blog would be helpful! :)

Catagories and a touch of yourself are always good

Firstly, a Warm Welcome to my fellow Bay Area blogger!

Your site design is great - clean and refreshing. Its fine the way it is. As your popularity grows, you will find the need to include a lot more things. What I do is usually scan all possible blogs and find the one thing that interests me in their design and tweak that to suit my taste.

Hope this makes sense. Always willing to help. Let me know if you need any....

Thanks for all of your inputs!

I've decided to tweak the banner and overhaul my sidebar. That should give me some room in dealing with archives and descriptions and such. I've also been playing with the main posting area, and I've gotten to the point where I'm torn between the current and the potential design. lol.

I've been wanting categories for a while, however, Blogger doesn't make it easy. I'm playing with some potential ways to do it, so we'll see.

Anyways, look for an updated layout sometime later this week! :-)
