Normally I am not a fan of mail-in rebates. In fact, I hate them. I think they are as close to scams as they can legally be. That said, I am pleasantly surprised by Staples' online rebate center.
My old shredder died so I went to a Staples store to get a new one. I bought the InfoGuard 7-Sheet Cross-cut shredder, which was on sale for $44.94 (original price $59.99). It's a light-duty machine, but it is powerful enough to shred credit cards. There is a $25 mail-in rebate available, which can be redeemed online.
After I got home, I went to Staples.com, entered in the required numbers, and the whole process was complete within 10 minutes. Assuming I get my rebate check in 4-6 weeks, this shredder would only set me back ~$20. Sweet.
